Who Wants to go Shoot Some Pigeons?

Sometimes things in the Borders get a little weird. There are traditions like the Common Riding and people truly live the country life.

Today, I was invited to go pigeon shooting with my boyfriend and his friends. It was a lot more fun than I was expecting it to be, although I never actually shot a gun, let alone a pigeon. I was there to take photographs, although I didn't end up with a lot of photos.

It was an excellent day, and it was definitely something I had never done before and it is something I would do again....I might even attempt to shoot a pigeon, if I get invited back again!
