Botallack Mines

It was a fairly cloudy day today with just a brief sunrise and hint of sunset colour.  We all headed to various locations throughout the day meeting up with one another as we went our ways.

I headed first to Porth Nanven with a colleague and clambered very slowly across the large boulders to take various shots while the tide was still fairly low, see extra.  After a tea in St Just we headed to Cape Cornwall where we had lunch and took more shots of crashing incoming tidal waves.  After that we travelled to Botallack exploring the extensive abandoned tin mining engine houses. We were here till sunset which was just a hint of colour in the sky, as shown in the main image.

In the evening the whole group met up for a meal in a local restaurant.  There were 13 of us in total and we had a good time exchanging information and our findings.  Tomorrow looks to be pretty wet so it will be interesting to see what we manage to do.
