Friends on the Ashton Canal

A glorious day to ride alongside the Ashton and Peak Forest Canals to collect a van from Charlesworth. 

The train from Oxford to Manchester was completely packed and I was so lucky to have one of the two bicycle spaces on board. A few hundred metres from the station I grabbed some lunch and then made slow but joyous progress along the towpath. Thanks to everyone who was enjoying a walk with their dog, yet kept them totally under control as we exchanged our friendly hellos and shared a lovely day.
