Mitch on the Pitch

Today was Mitch's first rugby game of the season playing for Ibiza. When he was living with us a couple of years ago he played for this side, and he's actually very talented. Before what happened happened, he was about to be signed for the Wales team...that potential career is another casualty of everything. He's the Ibiza team star and helped them with a win today against a Mallorca team. We were all freeeezing watching him - such an unexpected chill in the air! It was fun being there and watching. Danny is a big rugby fan so he especially enjoyed being on the sidelines and getting into it.
This evening was the Christmas tree light switch on - loads going on in town. Dances, music, stalls, nativity displays...Claire and I ended the evening in a tiny bar at the bottom of Sa Penya. Great to catch up more.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The kids doing well at the rugby despite it not being their first choice of ways to spend a Saturday, and being cold.
2) The gorgeous big nativity display in town - beautifully detailed.
3) Nate declaring that he and Stephen "have an unbreakable bond". He's going to miss him so so much when he leaves the island.
