Peace in the hills

Soaking up the peace,
walking in the hills. Calm, bar
attempted sheep chase.

Trip out to the North Pennines today, Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I are in our element up here and Ben loves the walks and (let's be honest) the treats.  Leo is also a happy camper but he's on our naughty list today after he snuck under a gate into a field of sheep.  He was still on the lead but desperately trying to wriggle out of his harness which would have made him a Free Agent :-/ My attempts at coaxing him back turned out to be futile so Mr KCNQ2Haiku had to climb over a barbed wire fence to retrieve the rascal.  It was horribly stressful, it's not the first time he's tried this sort of thing so we're realising how closely we need to control him near fields of livestock.  Fortunately no harm done today, no husbands or sheep were hurt in the whole experience and some lessons have been learned. 
The views though.  It's been stunning.  Ice on the ground, everything crispy white and sparkly, glistening sunshine.  Also.. So, So Quiet (not in Bjork way).  Divine.
