Leafy

Had booked to see Napoleon at Ilkley Cinema at midday so after scraping the ice off the car’s windscreen ( first time this autumn) l then decided to catch the bus.
Had a quick look on the Grove , the road was closed in preparation for the lights switch on later. A few stalls but nothing like the Good Food Market held here once a month.
Stopped to listen to the music coming from the bandstand and noticed the ground, if not directly in the sun was still frosty.
Then went to see Napoleon, a well made film but l learned nothing new about French history and l did pin point a few bits of stretching the truth, for example Marie Antoinette had her head shaved before she faced her end under the guillotine but here she was with flowing locks, artistic license l suppose and l’m nit picking. Have heard the French are not too impressed by the film but l found it okay, just didn’t have much depth. Don’t let me put you off going!
When l got out of the cinema there was a message from Ruby saying she was working at the Christmas market in Addingham if l fancied going over to see her. Then wished l had come out in the car but never mind as l saw there was a bus just leaving for Keighley that travels via where l wanted to be so jumped on that.
Saw Ruby and took a quick shot as she was putting her hat on, see extra, much more natural than the extra one l took.
Her boss told her to take a break so we walked round the market together, quickly catching up on her news.
She’s back to Manchester tonight to go to a 21st, it’s a black tie event but she’s wearing her long green dress which has stood her in good stead for quite a lot of occasions, sensible girl.
Caught a bus back to Ilkley feeling very smug at using public transport - only to find my bus was cancelled and so were all services for the next two hours due to the lights being switched on.
My first thought was l would miss Strictly but then saw l could get a train straight away, so that was perfect.
Got home to find Strictly wasn’t on until later than l thought so l’ve had a pizza and now ready for my favourite programme of the week.
Bobbie, Annabelle and Nigel are all on dodgy ground but we need to see them dance yet before making predictions !
