Woodland

Another long walk through a different woodland on a still, sunny, frosty day.  The thermometer in the shade didn't come above 0ºC until noon and the frost never melted.

As we live in a clearing in the woodlands, the sun doesn't rise over the trees and reach our garden from early November until late February.  It's not quite like living in the Arctic Circle, but it feels like it sometimes.
