The Bronze Age

The weather today can be very windy In places. The skies are blue and the sun shining.

I have planned a route to visit the Bronze Age Stone Circle at Midmar followed by a visit to the private chapel at Migvie.

Midmar church lies very close to the Midmar stone circle which is between 4000 and 5000 years old. The horizontal recumbent stone is an alter stone and the two vertical stones are flankers.

The extra shows the private chapel at Migvie. This chapel is open every day and has a remarkable interior featuring paintings, sculptures, stone furniture and stain glass. A lasting tribute to the designer; the late Peter Goodfellow of Lost Gallery.

Alan and Kate were certainly impressed with both sacred places. There is a spiritual calm at both.
