Golly Gosh!

Who would have believed it!  Certainly not me!  I thought getting to 100, then, 365 and, thereafter, 500 blips were all miracles in their own right!

We jumped into action at 9.45 am this morning when I was doing some blip commenting in bed and, suddenly, remembered it was my 5,000th blip day! Given we had a lunch appointment, I immediately booked a car from the electric car club, dashed to the local Chinese Bazaar for some candles and something to use as a base, scoured the drawers for some tartan ribbon (we are Scottish and approaching St Andrew's Day, after all!) and drove half way up Tibidabo to Mirablau where we hoped for a decent view over Barcelona.   The young girl serving there, entered into the spirit of things and managed to light the candles in the face of the breeze through the open windows! For the curious, the Sagrada Familia is directly behind the flame on top of the 5 and to the right you can see the twins towers of the Villa Olympica.

It's been said many times, but Blipland is such a marvellous place full of marvellous people with marvellous tales and experiences to share.    What a blessing to have been led here by my dear friend Alex Rigg over 13 and a half years ago and to have found so many more dear friends around the world through our daily interactions, some of whom I've had the pleasure to meet in real life, and also mourn their passing.

Thank you for everything, with a special thank you to Dd for her loving companionship on this journey.

Ever onwards!
