Action Shot.

One last shot from our Thanksgiving festivities. Grace and Tim playing croquet. Grace can be a fierce competitor! The fact that she had never played before didn't phase her, although she was coached from the sidelines not to wield her mallet like a golf club. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Today has been a very quiet day and I have no photos to show for it. Dana and Jim came by for a coffee in the morning, we took Spike for a walk and I sat on the couch catching up with comments. With an open wound one one ankle...not as deep as the last one, but still painful when I stand, and a wonky knee on the other leg, I avoided standing for most of the day.

We did bestir ourselves to go over to Dana and Jim's to pick up a couple of chairs and a generous batch of leftovers...dinner tonight solved. I had hoped to get a family portrait of Dana's family to add to the album. Jim and Dana were so busy preparing our wonderful feast that there was no opportunity capture all four of them in one place, posed or not.

We had quite a lot of wind last night and quite a lot of leaves on the ground this morning. There are still a lot of leaves left on the trees too, so I prevailed upon John to confine himself to clearing the pool in front rather than obsessively hand picking them out of the bushes.

It will be an early night tonight....
