Bus Stop…

Our community is built on a delta, is completely flat, and a large percentage of the area is agricultural land. In the last twenty years a significant amount of that area has been given over the industrial greenhouses. Local labour for those greenhouses is in short supply, so they have employed immigrants from Central America.

These workers are boarded at their place of work and get around on bicycles donated by local citizens. When they want to go further afield, they ride to the nearest bus stop, park their bikes and ride transit.

This is about a third of the bikes parked in this location. Occasionally, they have been stacked three deep along the fence and on both sides of the road.
