Find the right light!

I was once told by an experienced photographer to always try and find the best light.  How true this is.  Early this morning when the sun broke there was magical light for just a short period of around twenty minutes.  In this image I like the way the chimneys are defined, the reflection from the roof to the right of the image, how the seagull is highlighted.  Also how the light illuminates part of the terrance and misses other parts.  Two extras are included, one taken from the bottom of the hill and the second a colour image for comparison.  This morning things just seemed to work.
