Straight out of camera

and into the prickly vortex ...........................ARGH!!!!!
Would have been better if I'd had the camera image setting on square, but hey ho, or should that be Ho! Ho! I'm not going to mention the C word yet but I have a feeling there won't be many berries left on the holly trees come Festive season.
I managed to retune the tv, link it to the new remote, phone Ashley, give her the good news, all before 8.30 a.m Result!! Walked Indie taking some whizzy, twirling shots as we bimbled around the woodland the heath.
Dropped Indie off then out to Bovey Tracey to meet up with the ex DPHT ladies for our walk to Lustleigh. A perfect day for walking, fabulous autumnal shades along the old railway track. Lots of walkers out but not on our route which was perfect. A few cyclists sharing the route. Is a bell necessary on a bicycle??? I believe it is, but why do so few have one these days?? "Coming through!" or "Passing!" ... Surely ting-a-ling would surfice? Is it to do with drag?? I'd love to know.
We reached the pretty predominantly thatched village of Lustleigh at 5mins to noon. The Cleave opened at midday. Perfect timing. The fire was lit in the bar, we enjoyed coffees & mints before heading to the village orchard to eat our packed lunch, well Sandra & Angie did, I had to make in a purchase in the village shop. A pack of freshly baked in-house cheese straws. Very yummy. So yummy that I persuaded the ladies to sample one each. YUMMY!
We covered many subjects while lunching, I picked up some big juicy windfalls, then it was time to return.
Back to Angie's to collect our vehicles but not before a cup of Earl Grey & a slice of cake.
Popped into Mum's to give her a quick lesson on the new remote, which she found very difficult to grasp even though it only has 6 buttons. I do hope it becomes easier for her.

Made a big pot of veggie soup for dinner with some crusty bread.

A good day! : D
