A Sign Beside the River

There are a number of these signs at varying distances apart. They promote the Council’s promotion of “Tui to Town”….. The Tui is an iconic native songbird. Council and the Marlborough Landscape Group have, over a number of years, planted up the banks and berms of the Taylor River with native plants, shrubs and trees thus enhancing the natural environment and restoring natural habitat. In doing so attracting Tui and other native birds to these semi-rural and even urban areas.
