Fairlight Parish church….

We’ve been at a funeral today. A wonderful celebration of the life of a wonderful 93year old family man. He also happened to be D’s Crusader Bible class leader many years ago. Such humour in the tributes given by different family members. Such recognition of our human failures and frailty. I knew very few people there but the common strength of Christian faith drew us together.

Yesterday Valerie phoned to tell us her treatment will stop. Her PIC line has been removed and she will receive care at home. Neil and Big Sis were with her when she received the news at a face to face with her oncologist. Today has been quiet on the We4 front but we’ll make sure we have as many days together as we can.
