Seaside Rendevous

Llandudno at night, in the winter. Not exactly what springs to mind when thinking of the seaside. But we’re not here for sea, sand and candy floss. What we’ve travelled 150 miles for, is to see The Australian Pink Floyd in concert at Venue Cymru. It’s the 50th anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon, and they are performing that album in full, along with many other Floyd classics. Should be a good evening.
We came down this afternoon and called in to see mum on the way. I am aware that various professionals are trying to help her with her dementia, but are meeting stiff opposition. Basically she - and my sister, who she lives with - do not want any outside interference in their lives, though both will admit (when pushed) that help is needed to enable them to cope properly with everyday issues. At the moment, there is no easy resolution in sight, though I am heartened that at least they are now on the radar as far as the community care teams are concerned.
But, for now, it’s time to have tea in Wetherspoons before heading off to the theatre and not having to think about anything other than the sound of some of the best tracks ever written (in my humble opinion) being performed by first class musicians.
