Roaring River Wilderness

We went hiking up the Clackamas River, on many a dirt road, with people camping everywhere they could, to the trail for Shellrock Lake. This wilderness was designated in 2009, a 38,000 acre preserve, surrounded by logging. The snow was not quite melted off the trail, but once away from the lake we were ahead of the mosquito season. here is robert trying to take a nap in his space blanket.
