A Necessary Trip
To finish Annie's surprise new porch, I needed supplies, and when I saw the local store wanted $34.68 each for plastic roofing panels, and only 100mi away I could buy the exact same thing for $21.17 each (and I needed eight of them) meant a savings of $108.00 and well worth the drive, especially since I needed some siding the locals didn't even recognize (though they may have had it in their warehouse had I known what the correct terminology was).
So, here's my little Metro with my home-made roof rack about to go back home.
Let's see - 200 miles at 40 miles per $4.00 gallon leaves $88.00 saved.
Four hours driving means I got paid $22.00/hour to do one of my favourite hobbies, driving in the country - On a beautiful day, no less.
So, I happily continued my project at home, having refreshed myself with a drive.
Life is good!
