Landscapes Review

I should make it clear that the renaming of AONBs which I wrote about in yesterdays blip is not just a PR exercise.
It arises from the final report of the Landscape Review which was published in 2019. My Blip today is the front cover of the final report.

The Report was a major exercise reviewing the purposes, governance and funding of our National Parks and AONBs

It has many excellent recommendations covering such areas as conservation, farming, climate change, the independence of all the bodies involved and the method and amount of their funding. These are all under review and we hope that many of the will bring about major changes. Some additional funding has already been found and more is hoped for soon.
