Overdosing on Banksias
We leave Canberra tomorrow so I went back to the Botanic Garden today to overdose on banksias. The collage features, clockwise from top left:
Banksia petiolaris, B. ashbyi, B. hookeriana, B. grandis and B. serrata.
The first four come from the south west of Western Australia. The last one grows on the east coast and is thought to be the first banksia plant collected by Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander at Botany Bay in 1770.
