Across the Prairies
After a busy day working I took a late check out and headed west across the plains of South Dakota. It was a lovely ride with a good stop off at the spectacular Corn Palace, Sturgis and the Badlands. Before stopping in Rapid City I saw prairie dogs but wasn't quick enough with the camera.
Rapid City was a great place with life size bronze statues of every president placed randomly around the city and some great little brew pubs. The locals were fab and I met some great people an efl teacher and from a commune who I had a wonderful time chatting to. The town was a very arty place with the central back alley covered in encourage graffiti which look amazing.
