Backblip on account of Too Much Work

My distant but very dear friend T in Zagreb, whom I got to know when we were both students 25 or more years ago, sent me this lovely carved wooden picture as a housewarming present.  It represents her country's fine seafaring tradition.  I put it on my mantlepiece mantleshelf mantleplank with the intention to mount it and hang it somewhere better eventually, but somehow it has never moved from this position.
