Owl Out Hunting

A couple of days ago, heard our first cranes, so went out at sunset today to where we've seen them before. Nothing doing, but saw hundreds of curious cows, and then this owl on a pylon (on the wires put up to stop storks nesting). The waxing gibbous moon was rising to the left, but decided to go for the colour on the horizon.

Frustrated at no decent camera at the moment, and now even the Olympus is packing in - can't zoom it, and it overexposes not all the time, but most of the time.

Gratefuls:
- bit of a ceasefire, hopefully, beginning tomorrow (do they have to start up again??)
- eating our tuna steak lunch outside in the sunshine
- Beth being such a good friend to Julia and Tom
