Look at the wrinkles (on the tree trunk)

We had a very nice walk in the woods today - around 16km and feels like it!

I happened upon this old tree trunk, which despite laying horizontally on the ground for more than a few years appears to have refused to die. I absolutely loved the wrinkly texture of the slowly decomposing trunk wood and the upthrust of the new growth. 

The lovely and largely unwrinkled Janet gives it a sense of scale. ;-)
