Mowing and sowing

We gave the verge beside our house its last cut of the year and then spread Yellow Rattle seed (harvested earlier in the year from our lawn/meadow on the other side of the hedge in the photo).  Rattle seed likes pockets of open ground and a cold spell to encourage germination, so we're hoping for a good show next spring.
