Another booster
MrMacD baked a sourdough loaf this morning. He’s trying out a new process and is very pleased with the way the loaves are turning out. After the bread was baked we walked into town to get our fourth booster. Covid is on the rise again and we don’t want to get caught. The pharmacist who administered the shots was a lovely man called Justice. On the way back up the hill we stopped to smell a Banksia rose and a voice called out “hello”, so we stopped for a chat.
Before lunch we looked at all the window frames to check for splits or nail holes that need filling. MrMacD will attend to that and I’ll do the painting.
I got a bit distracted after lunch sending some messages and checking out some accommodation costs, so it was around 3pm by the time I got out into the garden. My mission was to pick all the silverbeet (Swiss Chard) and spinach leaves, then take them inside to wash, blanch, cool, dry and freeze. It took longer than anticipated but between the two of us we got it done. They were growing faster than we could eat them, so it seemed a good idea to preserve some for later use.
We saw the inviting path on our way up the hill, and the sign was outside a very popular local café.
Apologies, but I’m behind with checking in on blips. Will catch up when I can.
