Basking

… in the sun. This little annual bidens is the smaller sister to the tall yellow and white perennial type I blipped on 14th November. It sits in the sunniest corner of my garden; with the wall behind it’s usually quite warm there so it’s hardly surprising it’s happy flowering vigorously.

It’s been a lovely sunny, quite mild day that I’ve mostly missed as I was inside prepping marmalade and quinces for jelly while listening to the Covid Inquiry grilling of Patrick Vallance. What a sorry bunch of incompetent, arrogant ministers we had ‘in charge’ of the pandemic response. No wonder it was so awful.
