Jameison's Lane

On a very dreich, drookit, dismal day the Monday morning dancing featured a Kelpie reprise, Prince Charles' Quickstep and a beautifully played melody for Orpington Caledonia.  Earlier l had gone and put some fuel in the vehicle.  The payment device indicated that my card had ceased to be contactless.  I did not know my PIN No - although l knew a beuy in the queue.  Meantime another beuy came in from the forecourt and paid for pump 5 when he'd used pump 9.  And he couldn't drive away.  A peedie rammy followed.  (To save you all fretting in the night, my bank informs me they'll be issuing me a new card). I then went and bought CMC's Christmas pressie.

After dancing we dashed home and made ready to board the MV Hoy Head for our cruise to Lyness.  Rory was on duty.

News filtering through is that the weekend past saw the last of the Harvest Homes (Graemsay/  Shapinsay / Finstown).  The Graemsay dance went on until 3.00 a.m.

Sorry, but in my Blip entry last week, about agriculture, please replace 'MP' with 'herbivores'.
