Adult Robin

Named this one as 'Adult Robin' as,because of the white marks on his wings.I know he is the male in the photo of the 'Mating' Robins and that they must have young,based on the number of visits they make to the feeder!
It was nice to get a shot against a very Summer theme,instead of a bare fence or some other inanimate object.
He and the Hen have had a very difficult task the last week or so with the rain and high winds as their nest is in a very open area!

Nikon D800 + Sigma 170-500 APO f5-6.3 and Mono pod. 500mm in DX mode =750mm, 1/400 @ f8 ISO 1100


I'm getting used to this non O/S Sigma lens now. My other one should be ready in 10 days!!!?
