Alan & Auntie Agnes...

Backblip

Ele and Agnes were supposed to be coming up mid afternoon and staying over but Ele messaged me at lunchtime to say her back was still very painful so she was wasn't able to come. 

Agnes arrived just after 3.00pm and as you can see Alan was very happy to see her.  He was also keen to show off his Homer Simpson Christmas jumper.  He's definitely Christmas ready!  :-)

Alan and his support worker Penny headed off out soon afterwards and Agnes and I got down to the serious business of tea and cake and a good old catch up.

We paused our blethers whilst we ate dinner and watched Strictly Come Dancing before then continuing our chat into the wee small hours.  It was 2.45am when I switched off the bedroom light!

You'd think having been friends since we were 7 years old we'd have run out of things to talk about but nope, only tiredness put a stop to our blethers.  But no worries, we're off to Northumberland on Friday with her and Adrian, so we'll have a whole week to continue our blethers.

D messaged to say he's having a lovely time in the Lake District.  The guys had a very wet walk round Derwent Water in the afternoon and then a fabulous dinner out in the evening.
