Examining the berries

A day of mixed weather. We all headed out to a favourite pub to celebrate my birthday a few days ago and our son's and brother in law's one a few weeks ago.  Both grandchildren were well behaved with our youngest having a sleep in his pram through all the noise of the pub.  After the enjoyable meal we spent some time in the small playground opposite.  It has a large trampoline that was enjoyed by us all.  Lucas was also interested in the colourful berries still hanging on in the hedges there.

In the afternoon another of Lucas's tasks was completed.  He helped me to make of loaf of bread.  I think he will enjoy tasting it tomorrow.  His younger brother had his first taste of food today, pureed broccoli.  He was very surprised at the taste and experience and ate a little.  It will be interesting to see how he gets on in a few days time as tomorrow is to busy to repeat it.

An enjoyable day out, we even managed a good meal in the evening despite our initial feelings of having no room for anymore.
