Crumpets!

Proper stuff for supper on a cold, wet, miserable night. I like them well done with lashings of butter but I go easier on the butter nowadays due to the reflux.
Asked Terry to run me to the sorting office this morning and planned to walk from there to Card Factory on the retail park (just under a mile) then walk back to the bus station (just over half a mile) and catch the bus home or if I felt like doing a bit more, I'd walk to Bridge street bus stop.
Terry dropped me off at the sorting office and I posted my letter but as I was getting out of the car he asked me if I wanted running to Card Factory and it was torrential rain so I opted for a yes please!
Nipped in Card Factory and it was heaving so it took longer than i expected. Terry ran me home. Still torrential and has been ost of the day with it becoming windy later as well.
My daughter rang me and we chatted for quite a while, having a good moan about the weather. She'd also been planning a walk this morning till the torrential rain put her off. 
Lots of the roads have big pools of standing water due to blocked grids (leaves) and I have been reporting one for a few years, which is worse than ever now, but the council does nothing.
I think I need to go on a moan and rant site instead of a photo one!
Have started a new book which is an easy read but one of those you hate to put down. I also ordered The Book Thief (used book) since a friend of mine recommended it and it looked like one I'd enjoy.
