Although you can barely see the church through the trees the reflection in the river is quite clear. 
The day started with sunshine and blue skies but went downhill from lunchtime when the wind picked up and brought with it grey skies that threatened rain.   I cut my Dahlias down this afternoon so I can mulch the ground with some of my super duper leaf mould and a generous layer of leaves to protect them over winter.  It worked last year when I didn't  lose any, fingers crossed for this year.
