Pool drowning victim - a 4" desert centipede

This was totally moribund after I dredged him up early this morning. He feels like a latex toy that a kid might buy in a museum shop and I arranged him artfully for the picture. Later I popped him in a pot and we flew home so I could put him with other stuff on my 'blip' nature table. Imagine my horror when I opened the pot to find him waggling his head at me and attempting escape! Will have to go off to the zoo tomorrow - apparently their bite is as bad as a bee sting!
