Old friends

37 years ago Quim (in the jacket) was the first friend I made in the language I was acquiring, Portuguese. On our subsequent travels to and from Brazil (via Lisbon)we got to know the girl he married ,Lena (at left). Then when we were planning to move to Portugal 8 years ago Quim told us we HAD to make the acquaintance of Jan and Elisabeth (Dutch dairy farmers) which we did. Today, for the first time, we got to see them all together.
