Back blip

A day that I hadn’t expected, because I’d expected to be able to prep my assessment for Monday.

Somebody tried to break into our house last night. Our alarm went off at 4.30am and our alarm and the company identified that there was an intruder on the balcony - off our bedroom. The police (a team of 6 or 7) came very quickly, within 7 mins, and checked our house inside (the person had jumped from our balcony and down our facade onto the street by this time) and they checked the terraces and patios of other houses near us. A bit of a drama! Of course, it was difficult to sleep much after that, so I was very tired in the morning. In the afternoon, the alarm company were here for a good few hours, checking that the alarm system was working ok. It was. We also installed an anti-inhibidor, which alerts the alarm company if somebody tries to short circuit our alarm system. Fingers crossed. The alarm company was in our house this afternoon, checking that everything was working ok.

I managed some prep on my assessment for Monday, but not much.
