conquering fears!

I was determined to do this bit myself and I’m glad I did because it wasn’t half as scary as it seemed. I shouted Eve to take this picture for me and she was thoroughly unimpressed by my courage. In hindsight, flip flops perhaps weren’t the wisest choice of footwear.

After a day of graft, the ceilings are all done and the walls are looking good. A couple of newly plastered walls will need extra coats tomorrow and let’s not even think about all the sash windows and stairs…. but it’s feeling well on its way. Billy turned up first thing and tiled the new bathroom floor too - so it was a day of progress all round.

Gratefuls:

1. Walls to paint - it’s a privilege despite my grumbling;
2. Zeke’s football team winning and his faithful Dad on the sidelines cheering him on and sending updates via WhatsApp;
3. Eve making Isaac his lunch - complete with a strawberry napkin and a mug of hot squash. Very sweet.
