Women on the Move

Really enjoyable session at the Kendal Mountain Festival this evening. Research into 200 years of clothing for women in the outdoors. How did  the women of old navigate the expectations of the female sex at the time,  with wanting to ride horses, bikes and climb mountains, etc etc.  A skirt was compulsory but quite impractical. We watched a very amusing film showcasing the clothes they've made from old patented patterns.  The Blip is their demonstration of the conversion  from genteel lady  to action woman,  Lots of amusing and shocking anecdotes.
