Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

Mary Doll and I had tickets to see Aladdin at the playhouse tonight but she called this morning to say that sadly Victor’s best friend died unexpectedly last night.

But they had a chat and decided that life goes on and she still wanted to go out ahead with our plan to go tonight!

So we went out. It was a bit surreal under the circumstances. She was obviously a bit subdued but she loved the show and it was an easy distraction.

Subdued also meant significantly more sober. But not necessarily sane. She was once again showcasing her prowess as an observer in a stage whisper - “he has very long eyelashes” (about the man sitting in front of me) and “can you SEE that between his legs?” (About a fold of material hanging down the middle of the genie’s baggy trousers).

Thank goodness we just had a glass of wine each in the restaurant and not a bottle!
