Rosebud

Another wet one... it feels somehow like there's a sunny day then a rainy day, over and over at the moment. I suppose it's important to enjoy them both. After all, it only takes a glance at the news to know it could be so much worse.

When I went into the garden this morning it was still raining quite hard. I've had to "rub out' some of the more distracting streaks of rain in this shot, although part of me wondered if one could work out the shutter speed from the length of the streaks... I decided the answer was "probably".

Janet's back from London this evening. A part of me wondered if I ought to throw the vacuum cleaner around the place and wash the dishes. I decided the answer was... probably. Flower Friday on Saturday. The backdrop to this rosebud is the remaining berry harvest of the pyrocanthus bush.
