Windy and showery day view over the Beauly Firth from the Kessock Bridge.
Managed to remove the old bath, then clean everything up – remove old mastic from tiles, and from the newish bath... took an age. Assemble new bath - had to dismantle it years ago to enable passing it up into the loft. Cycle to town for some shopping, and plumbing bits. Motorbike MOT booked for tomorrow.
Removing the old bath was preceded by draining the hot water tank, the tank in the loft, and shutting off the house's incoming supply, as there aren't any isolating valves on the bath's pipework, something to be sorted, that's on the list of necessary improvements. So there's a bit of necessary pressure on me to get the finger out and get the new bath connected up pronto. Until then, there's a cup and kettle full of water to survive on, and only one flush of the loo.
