Was a bit late leaving for JRs and the traffic didn’t help but we arrived at chatsworth just in time for a timed slot to go in the house, after a nice sunny drive through the countryside. The house was beautifully decorated , though perhaps a little more subdued than when we went before. I think I probably preferred it. The theme was Advent with 24 rooms each decorated a window in an advent calendar. Very clever and worked well though we could have done with an explanation board as it wasn’t obvious! This is the library - themed as Star.
Had a snack lunch and then look d around the large Christmas market. Very little tat, though I only bought nice food for either J’s stocking or Dad. We called into the coffee shop for JR to buy beans on the way home and then to Dads to collect the last few Christmas trees he had turned for tomorrow . Got home just before 7 to very hungry cats!
