Anna Marie Edmunds

This afternoon I went to the funeral of a Linton Jazz band member, who was tragically killed 6 weeks ago, aged only 53, in a head on collision on Snake Pass.

The Arbory Trust Woodland Burial Ground service was packed, those who couldn't fit in were standing outside to listen to the service on this beautiful autumnal day.

I knew Anna as a smiley, friendly trumpet playing member of our band.  It was amazing and sad to hear how much more of her I didn't get to know about: clever, inspiring, creative, vibrant, sociable, fun and spontaneous.  What a great loss and another poignant reminder of how precious life is.
