Bookends of the day

A pre sunrise shot of my morning ride to work, dry and 8 degrees Celsius. 15 minutes later the sky turned crimson as I was getting washed and ready for my days work.
On my way home I found the traffic quite impatient and decided to head back via the Tarka trail. Spotting a pair of Glossy Ibis I pulled alongside the Pill to grab a quick photo, just as I reached for my iPhone a kingfisher left the partly submerged tree branch and curved its way up the creek. These ibis seem to have made their home in this area feeding on the rich supply of worms here.
