Plan thwarted

A figure of a soldier in the Parish Church at Cirencester. There are 1000 knitted poppies on a frame of chicken wire.
We had planned to spend the morning with sister M and her family. Unfortunately though, the hotel where they were staying was on the route of the Bristol Remembrance Day March, the road was closed, and they couldn’t get their car out. So the plan came to naught.
