Plants and potting up

Wanted to get out of the house but didn't feel like walking anywhere. I think I'm fed up with the same places. Decided to nip to the garden centres, see what they had.
I bought four ground cover plants and some other bits and pieces. I had no intention of potting them up today but after lunch I thought they would probably be better done today in case this latest storm lands and they take off.
It's a good job I did them as all four were completely pot-bound. I don't think the garden centres are doing a very good job as many of the plants I buy are pot-bound. You expect better with the prices they charge! The plants all look healthy though.
Yesterday teatime we watched the weather forecast which showed a storm (high winds and torrential rain) coming in from the south west and reaching up top the midlands and beyond - looked like it would have dropped a bit as it reached here in St Helens. This morning the forecast was a lot different, with the rain and winds missing most of our country!
I can't get my head around the forecasting - if it changes so much in half a day, what's the point? We haven't had a breath of wind today and it only rained late afternoon and this evening - not heavy.
Moan over but the weather forecasting this week has been pretty inaccurate for a few days. I think the Met Office needs a few pinecones and some seaweed.
