Thursday: Tea for Two

Took my car for its MoT this morning, I was a little late then got caught in a queue where the council were cutting trees on a very nasty bend outside Llangefni. Took the back roads to Gaerwen where there was a very confusing set of traffic lights and a lot of traffic … the mechanic just laughed and said it wasn’t a problem … :-))

Had a wander around Stermat and bumped (literally!) into someone I went to secondary school with, we used to travel on the same bus and were in the same class almost until we left. We had a good old catch-up, a laugh about where our lives have taken us and a few tears for our friends who have already departed …

On my way back to the garage I chatted with a man walking his son’s dog - the dog was called Mot (a coincidence considering why I happened to be there!) which happened to look a lot like a white version of Cousin Idris :-)

Chatted with the owner of the garage and his daughter, my parents owned a garage when my brothers and I were little …

Next stop Holland Arms garden centre for a takeaway coffee and chunk of fruit cake, which kept me going whilst I grabbed some shopping at Lidl.

I put some biscuits out for the hedgehogs around 3pm, then pottered around the garden for a while - started off some Welsh onion seeds and Leeks “Blue de Solaise” in cells in the plastic storage boxes … then I saw the hedgehogs, I think Mum is furthest away with one of the babies in the foreground … they ate for quite a while, maybe the other 2 will have food later …

Rain arrived as it was getting dark, around 4:30pm  - temperature was around 10°C, I had my heavy duty base layer on and felt very cosy!

The Sailor arrived back in UK this morning after his trip to the Far East  :-))

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
