A New Book…
…well second hand.
I read the Love Blippin’ Books prompt wrong and thought we had to find a book with boats in it! Duh!
When I commented about it on Sal’s (Squatbetty’s) Blip, she soon put me right. The book for this month is to be lighthearted - to counterbalance all the bad and sad things going on in the world just now.
So that was easy as Frank had just finished the one in the Blip and I did
hear him chuckling a few times when he was reading it ;-D))
I already liked it from the first page.
I’ve read one of Ruth Hogan’s books before - The Keeper of Lost Things - and that was good too.
We haven’t done much today. I have been measuring the space in the extension to see what size table we will need there and what size storage for art stuff.
Frank has been resting. He’s feeling rough from his Polymyalgia, the GP told him to slowly come of the steroids - which he has done a few times before but as soon as he is off them the pain in his neck and shoulders is really awful and he is so tired he can’t do much. He managed to get an appointment with a different GP for tomorrow and he had to have bloods taken today for the Dr to see the results.
The news from Gaza gets worse each day. It breaks my heart to see Mums and Dads crying for their children.
Such evilness must be stopped and must not go unpunished.
I need to take Bella walkies now.
