St Bartholomew's Chapel kneelers

Went to church at the Chapel within the Allnutt Almshouses at Goring Heath this morning - very traditional and very lovely. These beautiful kneelers were made by two of the parishioners; they chart the seasons with birds, flowers, fruit and insects from the surrounding Berkshire countryside. The almshouses were established in 1724 and still provide accommodation for 15. The Chapel, which is open to the public, is very plain and simple and theses kneelers, exquisitely worked, added such a wonderful reminder of God's creation.
