Jake and Bo

I was happy to see the boys today after being gone a couple of weeks. We went on a long walk while Elizabeth had a tennis lesson. They’ve been out of school for a couple of weeks due to a teacher strike and they’re both really wanting to get back to learning. Gus and Watson are not in school either and they, too, are missing their teachers and friends. I taught in Portland Public Schools as well, and although there were near strikes, they were always settled before an actual walk out. It’s never a good situation, but the kids are the ones who really suffer.
